Can a machine change your mind?

The mind is not the brain. Confusing the two, as much neuro-social-science does, leads to a dehumanised world and a controlling politics

this is religion hiding behind some philosophical mumbo-jumbo. the mind is the brain. besides, the more important issue is the statistical validity of many of these neuro-social-science studies: google 'voodoo science in brain imaging'. and i dont believe neuro-social-scientists are colluding "to make every aspect of our lives and selves comprehensible merely as subjects of scientific explanation." they do what they do to try to understand the brain as best as they can. about the only thing i agree with in the article is the misinterpretation in the popular press about the meaning of these studies, and i include the author as one of those people.
