What the heck happened to Bostonians? Well, apparently they got the two men who were arrested for the "terror scare". They were arrested for placing "blinking devices around boston"
i'm still trying to figure this out. overall, i guess i am amused.
while the location of the device that triggered the maylay was on a support post of a major highway (near where i live and work, i knew something was up when i saw a half dozen helicopters hovering overhead when going to work), the thing that bothers me most is why the boston police escalated it to 'defcon1' from the get-go. don't they have a procedure to assess a threat and then escalate? can't they bomb-sniff right away? it seems now that all a terrorist has to do is plant a bunch of toys around town, along with their bombs (a threat i take seriously, after the london and madrid bombings), and then watch as the police grind to a halt in confusion.
