the same argument could be made for asteroids impacting earth, which is a real problem as well (arguably remote).
on a related note, i was surprised to see an article about the NE Patriots 'greening' their stadium (albeit by buying credits from a wind-farm). Primarily they are doing this to spread the word on greenism.
I agree- that is the problem with the argument. There are no probabilities attached. To improve the argument you have to include the chances that global warming is happening.
